This is what we like to call the top of the ferris wheel. Peak abundance in the fields means sharing a smorgasbord of delicious root crops and fresh specialty greens, with a focus on refreshing flavors that take the edge off of summer’s intense heat.

Our August dinner is a showcase of the stars of summer, including warm season standouts such as peppers, tomatoes, and eggplant. The flowers will be in full force, seeds will be forming, and the farm will really be showing off its natural beauty.

Spend the day learning how to capture the magic of seeds in a pack. We will have activities for children, guest speakers from the local farming community, and give a guided seed-collecting tour of the farm: gathering pods and flowers as we walk, and working together to refine them to usable seeds.

While the fields are starting to wind down, the flavors of storage crops such as squash, corn, potatoes, and onions offer the cool-season nourishment we all crave. Guests will enjoy a hearty meal with bold, warming flavors.
